Curriculum

As per National Education policy of 1986, there must be a continuous comprehensive evaluation that incorporates scholastics aspects of education. It places emphasis on character skill and psychomotor domains. Continuous assessment will take care of all the domains in a progressive and continuous manner. We give certain percentage of credit added to the score gained during monthly test on the basis of skill in sports, games, cultural activities, punctuality, rapport, attitude to studies, etc.

We strongly uphold the government policy of Right to Education (RTE).

The curriculum is so constructed to the needs of the child i.e., child centered catering to the social needs, catering to the individual differences, flexibility, and emphasis on integrated personality.

HCS is recognized by the Department of Education State of Karnataka and it follows SSLC Board syllabus having 1^st language as Kannada, 2^nd language as English, 3^rd language as Hindi with the core subjects as Maths, Science and Social Studies. In addition a study of computers, moral science and General knowledge is also inculcated.

Structure:

Pre-Primary :             Nursery, LKG & UKG

Lower Primary :        1^st Std to 3^rd Std

Middle School :         4^th Std & 5^th Std

Upper Primary :        6^th Std & 7^th Std

High School :             8^th Std to 10^th Std

Timings:

Nursery & LKG :        9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

UKG to 10^th Std  :      9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
